A Few Words About Kathleen
Kathleen’s passion for caring for others was clear as she started working in retail pharmacy straight after graduating from Year 12, clearly highlighting that success does not need a formal education. She worked hard to learn about ways people could improve their health and wellbeing. Her patience and kindness made Kathleen a valued part of her community. Looking to extend herself and the pharmacies services, Kathleen developed and managed beauty rooms and became a qualified beauty therapist. This gave Kathleen the opportunity to put her own signature on these businesses. Known for her high quality services and attention to detail, this part of this business quickly grew and was highly successful.
It was also through this time working in these family owned businesses that Kathleen showed real skill in handling the operations of the business. Her attention for detail, and organisational skills were extremely valuable during this busy world enabling GST compliance and administration to be at a sustainable quality and efficiency. As both of her daughters, Sarah and Belle, grew up in these businesses, life as a parent meant being flexible, well organised, and tirelessly working very long hours. Kathleen mentions “I look back sometimes and wonder how we did it… it was insanely busy, fun, and it was amazing to have my family with me through this time”.
With the formation of “The Training Guru”, Kathleen has continued using her skills as Operations Manager. Needing to be highly logistical and efficient, Kathleen enables “The Training Guru” to be able to provide high quality training. Everything from high quality training materials, to fun interesting activities need to organised well ahead of the actual training. Kathleen runs all of this as well as providing support to Peter in every aspect of facilitating the actual course. Kathleen will often be the contact person as we find ways to provide you with the best possible training solutions. Kathleen continues to study training methods and apply these ideas as The Training Guru stays ahead in its abilities.
Outside work, Kathleen enjoys spending time with her family, friends, great food and wine, and movies. These passions our shared with her family.
